Bliss Ball Ingredients:
(Makes about 15 balls)
1 ½ cup almond meal
½ cup oats (replace with additional almond meal or ground buckwheat if gluten free)
½ an orange juice & zest (reserve other half of orange in case you need more liquid)
¾ cup dates
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon,
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg,
½ teaspoon ground ginger,
½ teaspoon ground cloves,
1 tablespoon Cocoa
1 tablespoon Tahini
1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
Place dates in a small bowl, cover with orange juice and zest, and set aside to soak.
Place oats in a food processor on high until finely chopped. Add almond meal, spices and dates soaked in orange juice. Process on high until ingredients are well combined and begin to come together. If the mixture is too dry add extra orange juice.
Role bite sized balls of the mixture and arrange on a plate. Once all mixture is rolled in a ball place in the fridge while you prepare the chocolate cross.
In a small mixing bowl combine cocoa, honey or maple syrup, tahini and melted coconut oil. Once combined, retrieve balls from the fridge and use a teaspoon to drizzle a cross on top of each ball.
Return to the fridge and chill until ready to serve.
