Although the Easter Bunny comes but once a year, there really is no need for him to bring a year’s supply of chocolate on his annual visit – let’s face it, it’s not going to last that long. We might have dispelled the myth that Sugar causes hyperactivity in children and we’re not buying into the ‘toxic sugar’ hype, but it is still of course a good plan to keep our sugar, and obviously chocolate, intake in check (especially if you're falling short of your recommended intake from the 5 food groups). Although chocolate eggs are traditional and we all love an Easter egg hunt, moderation is the key to a healthy, happy Easter that doesn’t end in chocolate OD. So here are just a few ideas for alternative Easter goodies that the kids will love:
